WHO ARE WE

IBD Horizons®, an innovative nonprofit organization, was specifically designed to meet the need for CME certified inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) focused education.

The medical steering committee of, Drs. Scott Lee, Anita Afzali and Ghassan Wahbeh are practicing IBD specialists in Seattle as well as academic professionals, all heavily involved in peer-to-peer teaching and research both locally and on a national level. Their collective expertise in conjunction with Paul Strunc, a leader in the planning and execution of educational meetings in the field of medicine, allows for the accurate design and implementation of multi-format IBD focused educational events that address the recognized gaps in North America

Advancing the clinical knowledge of professionals caring for patients with IBD, while providing the most up-to-date, evidence-based clinical science.

Our commitment is to offer our attendees objective, evidence-based and unbiased content in an interactive, educational dialogue. IBDHorizons® CME events are designed to cover a
wide range of challenging topics in pediatric and adult IBD customized to a professional audience.

IBDHorizons® offers a unique platform to facilitate physician proposed research and connect with funding sources and pharmaceutical industry.

Our mission

To improve the care of children and adults with IBD by providing high quality professional education on the diagnosis and management of Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis and to facilitate physician initiated research projects.

Assisting you in answering your questions and bringing education to your geographic area and developing agendas which meet your needs.

Providing an area where dialogue and personal relations can be built by sharing case reports “The Dialogue”.
